Las Vegas Art Museum

The Las Vegas Art Museum aims to be an internationally recognized museum with an emphasis on contemporary art and educational programs for the community.

The museum has its roots back in the 1950s, when a group of people wanted to bring the fine arts to Las Vegas. In 1974, the Las Vegas Art Museum was opened as the first fine arts museum in the state of Nevada. In 1997, the museum relocated to its present location in the Sahara West Library/Fine Art Museum building where today you can visit with your luxury car rental.

Exploring The Museum

The museum has hosted a variety of permanent and temporary exhibits. Recently they have featured Roy Lichtenstein Prints 1956-97 from the collection of Jordan D. Schnitzer and his family; Adventures in a Temperate Climate by Martin Mull; and the 55th Annual Las Vegas Art Musuem Art Roundup Juried Exhibition. Coming up in the near future are works by Frank Gehry and Randi Chaplin.

The museum aims to promote the work of local artists, as well as national and international ones when you visit with you luxury car rental.

Planning Your Visit

The Las Vegas Art Museum is located at 9600 West Sahara Avenue, found with your luxury car rental near the corner of West Sahara and Town Center. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday there are Docent tours at 2:00 in the afternoon.

Admission is $6 or $5 for seniors and $3 for students with ID. Children under 12 are free.
