The Royal Links Golf Club is one of the most historic courses you will ever find. The Royal Links Golf Club was created in tribute to golf’s origins, Scotland, Ireland and Britain. Featuring the 18 best holes of the British Open rotation, the Royal Links Golf Club offers such legendary holes like “The Road Hole” from St. Andrews to Royal Troon’s “The Postage Stamp”. Other courses which are included are Carnoustie, Turnberry, Royal Liverpool, Prestwicj, Royal Lytham, Muirfield and Royal Birkdale. Just 20 minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip and 15 minutes from Downtown, the Royal Links Golf Club has long been a popular course since its opening in 1998. Developed by Walters Gold, the course was voted as one of Golf Magazine’s “Top Ten You Can Play” and “Best New Courses You Can Play” by the Best Things in Golf Publication in 1999.
The Royal Links Golf Club was created to honor the history of golf. Through various points of the course you can find monuments indicating where great moments in the British Open history took place. By the practice green, a Champion Wall stands honoring all the American champions of the British Open. Free lessons on the history of golf are also offered by the Royal Links Golf Club. Getting Ready
Caddies are highly recommended by Dream Car Rentals when you attempt to tackle the course as several of the holes hold true to their Scottish design, bunkers are hidden and deep and hazards seem to be everywhere. You may ride carts, but if you want to fully experience this historical play we highly recommend you walk with a caddie.
The par 72 course is 7 029 years from the back set of five different tee boxes. The layout designed by Dye Designs International features Tiffway II fairways, Bentgrass greens, 108 pot bunkers, and a nod to tradition, absolutely not water. From the 8th hole inspired by the “Postage Stamp” to the bunker-fronted 223 yard 17th, modeled on Troon’s 17th they offer the exact distance as the real British courses.
